Lots of music, travel, drink and craic!

2009 proved to be a very exciting time for the band. Trips to France, Spain, U.K., Italy, Denmark & Taiwan.

We played one of Ireland's most acclaimed music and arts festival - 'Electric Picnic' , alongside a massive line up of artists including Sex Pistols, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Kila and the mighty Christy Moore.

Electric Picnic said "This Belfast quintet are bright stars in the trad firmament"

Tony Clayton of The Irish Times said - "Irish trad gets a kick up the backside with this dream-team line-up of fiddle, uilleann pipes and crystal-clear vocals. The Pixies meets Planxty?"

We played the El feile festival in Barcelona

"we found ourselves totally rawked by At First Light!  Fabulous players, wonderful songs, a totally polished performance.  They finished up a great night with a fantastic set that left the starting gates with a Finbar Furey tune played by John McSherry and Francis McIlduff that raised the hair on the back of your neck.  Two encores later, the audience left feeling simultaneously exhausted and exhilarated!"

We returned to Folkest in Italy, one of the biggest folk festivals in Europe and were treated excellently by Andrea and his team.

We finished the year with a trip to Oulu in the north of Finland where we were joined by Kila and Doimnic MacGiolla Bhride (who subsequently won Corn Ui Riada at an tOireachtas - Comhgairdeachas mor) and we had a ball.
